Thanks for the nice review of my latch kit. I designed this back in 2022 when my F100 developed a broken latch. I also sell a similar kit for the Nikon N80/F80 which have the exact same faults. Speaking of the other kits on eBay, they are all Chinese knock offs. The sellers all seem to be exact duplications of each other and they mostly sell knockoff car parts. Who knows what material they use, who knows the quality and by the looks of the pictures they do not even take the time to file/sand away the machining marks from the cosmetic side.

Just a FYI to folks, the link Dan posted here is the legit designer and maker, made and designed here in USA. There are now some Chinese rip offs out there on eBay so be warned. If its coming from china its a knock off.

Going around outside in street NYNY this week to try it after its' been sitting for 5 years. I got F100, used in 2018. Shot 3 rolls then, 1 more is still in it. Went from Pentax K to Nikon F FX and DX at end of 2017.

My counter showed S, then 10. When actually there was 6 left. Maybe because i tried capturing a couple ones when the battery was low? (It did not take any pictures then) please advise on getting the counter to its correct number 🙏🏼

Like the others who commented, I too have got my hands on one of these bad boys for a great price recently. I found mine for $20 at a local antique store! I was so stoked. I bought film and it works great. Only thing is the 2ft lens has some dirt smudged on the inside that I cant seem to figure out how to clean. Could someone help with this please?

I also can’t get around the lack of manual focus. I think if you’re gonna give manual controls, which might be used for night photography for long exposures, the autofocus isn’t gonna cut it :/ someone else already mentioned in their video that it struggles to focus at night (understandably), so why not give the option to manually focus?

can someone help, the circle in the lens does not line up with the pictures correctly and comes out more towards the left then the actual circle in the lens. is that normal?

So the metal part that holds the battery comes with the film in the box? Mine broke I and I have been trying to find out if it comes with it like it’s the battery itself

I believe those are eneloop batteries? Those are not li-ion rather they are Ni-MH. But I know those are really good batteries.

36 rolls of 36 res =1,296 exposures before changing or recharging batteries. That should over any one day’s shooting. Two bodies equals2,592 exposures.

I used two F1oo bodies up until Iswitched to digital. I’m thinking of buying another one now to play with.

Generally speaking, cameras with AF marks will make real focusing movements. You can press the shutter after opening the back cover and observe the movement of the lens group from the rear. There are many simple cameras with fixed focus, but cameras with AF marks are definitely different.

I have owned so many different Polaroid cameras over the years and I find the I2 to be the best by far. The lens is sharpest I have experienced on a Polaroid and I'm getting consistently good results which means I'm not waiting film.
